Tentative Schedule for 2016-2017 School Year

Please mark these dates on your home calendar. Fourth grade meets in Mrs. Burkes’ room. Fifth grade meets in Ms. Zgonc’s classroom, and sixth grade meets in Mrs. Gregory’s. All meetings are 8:05 a.m. unless otherwise noted. We will send home reminders before each meeting. Most meetings will be the 2nd Monday of the month.

*Food Drive is underway from 10/10-11/11.

October 14                   K-Kids Installation Ceremony

 

November 7                 Pack shoeboxes for children around the world/Make food bags for Good Shepherd.

 

December 12               Adopt a Grandparent (Make Christmas cards for St. Paul’s residents and practice Christmas carols. Make food bags for Good Shepherd.)

 

December ?                 Christmas Carol at St. Paul’s (Any interested K-Kid and parent volunteers should meet inside the building. We will carol and visit residents. Date and time announced soon.

January 9                     Winter Wear Drive for community     

 

February 13                 Make Valentine’s cards for hospitals and nursing homes/Play BINGO with residents (Date TBA)

March 13                     Decorate food bags/”Change” an Animals Life Drive

April ?                         No monthly meeting at school this month. Instead, we will help Thiel College and other community members with the Spring Into Action Event. It will be held on a Saturday morning and afternoon that will be announced at a later date. We will help to beautify our community.

May 8                          Staff Appreciation Breakfast (Partner with Student

                                    Council.)

May 25                        School Clean-Up (This event will be held after school until 4:15 p.m. We will clean inside and outside of East Elementary school and have a pizza party!)

 

 

Ms. Zgonc, Mrs. Burkes, and Mrs. Gregory would like to thank parents for making it possible for your child to participate. We look forward to a great year dedicated to helping others and learning the importance of volunteering.
